Who this is for

Dealers and importers preparing a vehicle order from China. Use these points to ask specific questions about your selected vehicles.

In this article

Start with your vehicles and route

Tell your forwarder the destination port, vehicle dimensions, quantity and whether each car runs. Ask which services accept the vehicles and what the sailing and arrival arrangements involve.

Compare the two arrangements

RoRo involves driving vehicles on and off a suitable vessel. A container uses a loading and securing plan inside the box. Ask about access, condition acceptance, insurance and destination unloading for either choice.

Use the right loading plan

Our reference container plan is four standard cars or three large SUVs, subject to dimensions and loading confirmation. Trucks and vehicle transporters need a separate quotation; do not apply this car plan to them.

Put the whole budget together

Our planning references are $6,300 per container and $2,300 for a single-car shipment. They are not a quotation for every route. Compare loading, handling, freight and arrival costs separately, then confirm the carrier quote before booking.
